Hiking context including Mileage, States, Dates, and Elevation Profile are letterpress printed on reverse of the print, as well as this inspiration story:
Caterpillar trails abounded: Near the beginning of the long trek through Virginia, there were a few days where it seemed as if someone had decided it was “National Caterpillar Week.“ I’d go through miles of webs crossing the trail made by the thousands of caterpillars dropping from the trees. Often they’d cling to my hat and clothing and come along for a ride. While annoying at times, I appreciated these funny little creatures tickling my skin because it was their time to shine and be the star of the forest for a couple days.
