Holiday Card Typesetting & Printing Workshop 11/17/24
Sunday, November, 17th, 2024 from noon-5pm eastern time.
Come cozy up with a hot beverage and print your own set of 10 holiday cards with us! In this 5-hour workshop, experience the old-time art of letterpress printing by learning how to design, set and print antique wood or metal type to make your own set of holiday cards.
Each participant will head home with a set of 10 folding cards & matching envelopes along with a newfound appreciation & knowledge of printing history.
No prior letterpress printing or design experience necessary whatsoever. This workshop is open to anyone, but I ask that any children under 14 are accompanied with a parent or guardian (separate ticket necessary if you both want to make your own prints).
This workshop is held in the Gingerly Press Studio located on the first floor in the Ice House Studios (wheelchair accessible) in the lively Central Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. After the workshop, enjoy dinner right up the street at one of the many locations along Butler Street— invite a friend and make an afternoon & evening of it!
Coffee, tea, water and light snacks will be provided during the workshop. BYOB optional.
Workshop participants will have access to 15% off all Gingerly Press products during their time in the studio.

Workshops require a minimum of 4 participants to run. In the event that a workshop does not meet this minimum, you will receive a full-refund 48-hours prior to the workshop date.
Workshop Cancellation Policy:
Gingerly Press reserves the right to cancel a workshop if fewer than 4 participants register, or in the event of dangerous weather conditions.
We require at least 3 days notice of cancellation to receive a full refund. Any cancellation less than 3 days prior to the workshop, will receive a workshop credit good for 60 days for any available workshop of equal value.
If you are more than 45 minutes late, you will be considered a “no show” and it will be too late to receive a refund, workshop credit or begin typesetting & printing at this point.
